POLITICS: President Muhammadu Buhari Set To Attend ECOWAS Summit Today.

GCFR of the Nigerain state - President Muhammadu Buhari will be attending the 54th ordinary session of the ECOWAS authority of Heads of State and Government on Saturday, 22nd of December 2018, in Abuja.

According to Daily Trust, President Buhari, who is the chairman of the ECOWAS, would chair the event which will review issues affecting the region

The president of the ECOWAS commission; Jean-Claude Kassi Brou, chairperson of the African Union Commission; Moussa Faki Mahamat, special representative of the UN Secretary General for West Africa and Sahel; Mohammed Ibn Chambas and President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD); Gilbert Houngbo are expected at the event, which is scheduled for 10.am.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, July 31, emerged the chairman of the Economic Community of West African States  (ECOWAS).
