Chelsea player, Giroud has made a statement on striker, Gonzalo Higuain arrival at Stamford bridge.
Higuain who joined Chelsea from his former club, Juventus on a six month transfer, and Giroud said it is okay to have competition at Chelsea.
Speaking on Gonzalo Higuain’s arrival at Chelsea, Giroud told ESPN: “I think it’s good for the club to have different top strikers.
“It’s a benefit for the team and competition is always good for strikers, so we will try to step up together to help the team reach our target. I can’t wait to play with Higuain.”
Giroud added: “It’s true, I’ve got a very good understanding with Eden, off the pitch and on the pitch.
“But I’m not making the starting XI — the manager makes choices and you have to respect them. Maybe I have to show more in training to be back in the team on a regular basis.”
The blues will play against Bournemouth in the Premier League fixture on Wednesday.
