ASUU stated on Friday that there negotiations with the FG is still a stalemate as the latter hasn't shown commitment to there request.

"Meeting outcome: The meeting between @ASUUNGR and the Minister of labour @SenChrisNgige is still a stalemate.
The Federal government @AsoRock has failed to pay the money and it is showing no indication of releasing it.
Prof Ogunyemi says that "on the Federal government’s claim that it had released a sum of N15.4 billion as part of shortfall in the payment of salaries of lecturers, we are yet to receive it.
@SenChrisNgige has brought a new proposal to the table and we are going to reconsider it though It is not up to the ₦50bn we requested.
The @ASUU president is assuring Nigerians that the union will definitely have something to tell the people after its next meeting on Thursday.
The union will be consulting its zonal members and will provide feedback to @AsoRock and @SenChrisNgige on Thursday 7th February 2019."
